I expected to have fun at "Cocktails & Cuisine," but I didn't anticipate such a delicious evening! Our guests enjoyed drinks and conversation before Colonel De Stewart & Caitlin Bertsch of Park+Vine took the floor. Caitlin prepared vegan burgers while Colonel De used his famous spices to make guacamole, garlic spread, and honey balsamic glaze. Each recipe was tasty and accessible for both beginners and seasoned home cooks. Caitlin & the Colonel are talented-- that's for sure-- but we were really bowled over by the palpable passion they have for their craft.
Speaking of passion, the ladies of Bake Me Home-- Alison Bushman and her daughters, Emma & Amy-- were able to sneak away from their (super successful!) Boutique to tell guests about their mission and hand out samples of their signature oatmeal chocolate chip cookies.
