Tiny yet swift, the dragonfly represents strength and provides the namesake for The Dragonfly Foundation whose mission is anything but small. Their aim is to improve the quality of life for children and young adults battling cancer or enduring bone marrow transplants in Cincinnati. Currently serving 380 kids and their families, Dragonfly supporters seek to make affected families’ lives less about survival and more about joyful living. Ambassador Kristin Siegel gave us plenty of ways to #BeADragonfly in December.
- Spread smiles by donating entertainment-related items such as gift cards (i.e. Target, GameStop, iTunes, Panera, Chipotle) and toys (Play-Doh, card games, materials to make bracelets, etc.)
- Give the gift of free travel with a gas card for Dragonfly families.
- Attend Breakfast with Santa on December 14. Bring a friend and join Dragonfly supporters for breakfast and giveaways at The Rusty Bucket in Mason. Purchase tickets for $5 in-store or by phone (339-0150). The fun will last from 8:30 am - 10:30 am.
- Donate a new, unwrapped gift for a Dragonfly child at Claus for a Cause on December 15. Enjoy hot chocolate and cookies while making new friends (like us!) from 3:30 - 5:30 pm at the Lane family's home.
